(FOX40.COM) — A traffic stop conducted by the California Highway Patrol’s Stockton Area office on Wednesday resulted in the seizure of approximately two kilograms of methamphetamine and the arrest of a driver.
According to the California Highway Patrol, its officers initiated the stop for a Vehicle Code violation while on patrol. During the enforcement contact, a CHP K-9 unit was deployed and alerted to the presence of a controlled substance inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of the suspected methamphetamine located in the trunk, CHP said.
