ALABAMA — Alabama already has multiple Buc-ee’s locations, including stores in Leeds, Auburn and Athens. Those travel centers provide coverage along Interstate 20, Interstate 65 and Interstate 85, helping establish Alabama as one of the company’s key markets in the Southeast.
However, as Buc-ee’s continues expanding across the country, there are still several areas of Alabama that could potentially support additional locations. While the company has announced no new Alabama projects, the state’s extensive interstate network and growing tourism industry make further expansion a realistic possibility.
Why Another Alabama Location Makes Sense
Alabama sits along several major transportation corridors, including Interstate 10, Interstate 20, Interstate 22, Interstate 59, Interstate 65 and Interstate 85.
The state also attracts millions of visitors annually to Gulf Coast beaches, college football events, outdoor recreation destinations and growing metropolitan areas. Although Buc-ee’s already has a presence in central and northern Alabama, large portions of southern and western Alabama remain outside the convenient reach of existing locations.
