Reward increased in 2025 Montgomery murder case

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A reward is now being increased for information leading to a suspect’s arrest following the 2025 murder of Ja’richo Hinkle, according to CrimeStoppers 215- STOP. The reward totals $2,500.

Montgomery police responded to the 3000 block of Woodley Road around 5:50 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2025, where first responders found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were treated at a local hospital.

Hinkle, who was critically injured, later died. The second victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation. No motive is known at this time…
