MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – An ongoing investigation into contraband connected to a prison in south Alabama led to an arrest Friday morning in Montgomery, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Officials said agents with the ADOC Narcotics Unit, K-9 Division, and the Law Enforcement Services Division, with assistance from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a home in the 8300 block of Fairhaven Lane.
The investigation stemmed from an arrest made several weeks ago involving contraband believed to be intended for Fountain Correctional Facility in Atmore, ADOC said, and “intelligence and evidence” led agents to the Montgomery home…
