MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Coming soon to the Montgomery area: a place to sell, trade, gather, and grow. It’ll be called the Mann Market at 1901. The goal is to give kids a safe outdoor place to hang out and to give the community a place to gather and socialize. The idea came from William Mann, born and raised in Montgomery.
“I grew up as an underprivileged youth,” said Mann. “I just noticed if there’s nothing else to do, it’s very easy to fall into a life of crime and drugs.
He bought some property off Mt. Meigs Road three years ago. It’s pretty run-down right now. But he sees the future looking pretty bright here…
