MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – As triple-digit temperatures grip the River Region, the Mid-Alabama Coalition for the Homeless is warning that consistent, consecutive days of extreme summer heat are posing severe health risks to Montgomery’s unhoused population.
For people experiencing homelessness, the prolonged Alabama heat wave has turned basic survival into a daily struggle.
