MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – As with any animal shelter, the goal is to find every animal a loving “furever” home, no matter how long the wait.
Some get adopted within days, while others wait months or even years. Right now at the Montgomery Humane Society, four dogs have stayed their fair-share.
Piper is a two-and-a-half-year-old female terrier. She is described as “a sweet, smart, and sassy southern belle” who loves to play, snuggle, and nap. The MHS says she is well mannered and gets along with other well mannered dogs. She is microchiped, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines.
Rosemary – 518 days
Rosemary is an almost 2-year-old female terrier mix. Found as a stray, she seems to have had a family at one point, but was never claimed by her owners, according to MHS. She is fully vaccinated, microchiped, and spayed. Rosemary is currently staying with Adoption Ambassadors as she awaits her furever home.
Mary – 515 days
Mary is a one-and-a-half-year-old female terrier. The MHS says she came to the shelter when her owner’s home became overcrowded with dogs and puppies and surrendered the dogs. She is fully vaccinated, microchiped, and spayed. Mary is currently staying with Adoption Ambassadors.
Michelle – 515 days
Michelle is a one-and-a-half-year-old female terrier mix. She came to the shelter from the same overcrowding situation as Mary. The MHS describes her as “a sweet little gal that would try her best to be the pet you always wanted!!” She is microchiped, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and staying with Adoption Ambassadors.
