MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – A man who Montgomery County District Attorney Azzie Oliver calls a serial rapist has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Oliver announced today that Rubin Atkins pleaded guilty this week to raping and unlawfully imprisoning two women in his home.
She says evidence showed that on two separate occasions – December 28, 2022 and January 16, 2023 – Atkins lured female victims to his house and sexually assaulted them. He then demanded money in exchange for their release and threatened further harm if they refused, she said…
