Drought relief on the way for part of Alabama: Here’s where and when

Parched parts of Alabama are in line to get some welcome rain over the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service’s 72-hour rainfall outlook is forecasting some rain for most of the state through Sunday evening (see the forecast at the top of this post).

But the big winner in the rain category could be drought-stricken south Alabama. The weather service forecast suggests 2 to 3 inches of rain will be possible across parts of the region…
