Experts share how Alabama-connected horse can win 2026 Kentucky Derby

The world’s most famous horse racing might take place in Kentucky, but for the second year in a row, it will have an Alabama connection. After he first made the Kentucky Derby last year as the lone owner of Coal Battle, Thomasville’s Robbie Norman is back, as part of a partnership for So Happy.

The grocery store magnate and Auburn fan owns the colt along with Saints and Sinners, a partnership of Hans and Ana Maron. So Happy was a 15-1 longshot on the morning line, and will need things to break his way to have a real chance in the Run for the Roses.
