JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – A parasite called Cyclospora has been infecting food and water across the U.S., with raspberries and leafy greens specifically being impacted.
Dr. David Kirschke, Medical Director for the Northeast Regional Health Office, told News Channel 11 a few ways to stay safe with produce.
“Ways to make it safer is to wash all your fruits and vegetables. You can eat frozen vegetables or anything cooked, it is more safe,” said Dr. Kirschke. “Some people suggest eating local produce.”…
