SMYRNA, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Smyrna Fire Department responded to a house fire on Sunday evening around 11:45 p.m.
Firefighters responded to 312 Battlewood Avenue, where they found heavy smoke from the exterior.
Crews entered the home and found the fire started in the kitchen and “rapidly spread up through a chase to the second floor and attic.”
Crews were able to bring the fire under control, but SFD said that it required significant effort to “access and extinguish the remaining fire in numerous void spaces on both floors and the attic.”…
