The Coffee County TN Democratic Party (CCDP) will hold a protest at the intersection by the Walgreens in Manchester on Friday, May 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The May Day 2026 Protest: Workers Over Billionaires is a nationwide protest. The CCDP has chosen to organize a protest locally in participation.
The protest is aimed at a perceived disparity in the American system’s treatment of wealthy Americans and American workers.
“American workers now face a crisis of crushing hours, poverty wages, and a system rigged to benefit the wealthy,” the CCDP said. “On May 1st, workers, students, and families across the country are demanding a nation that puts workers over billionaires.”…
