State department urging Tennesseans to be weary of ticks during spring

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Department of Health is warning Tennesseans to take precautions against ticks during the spring months.

Pathogens transmitted by ticks can cause mild, flu-like symptoms which can later progress to serious illness if left untreated.
