Three Murfreesboro students taken into custody after separate cafeteria altercations

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WZTV) — Three Siegel High School students were taken into custody on Wednesday after separate altercations involving teachers and a school resource officer inside the school cafeteria, according to Rutherford County authorities.

Officials said the incidents began on May 13 when a 16-year-old student allegedly shoved a teacher multiple times inside the cafeteria. School resource officer Caleb Shadwick responded and intervened, eventually taking the student to the ground after the teen continued resisting, according to reports from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
