NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Thousands of workers have been laid off in Tennessee just four months into 2026.
From January through April, WARN notice data shows that 3,377 workers were laid off in Tennessee. In that same time frame last year, 3,370 workers were laid off. In 2024, that number was significantly less, with a total of 1,274 people laid off in the first four months of the year.
