SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — A mobile food pantry rolled into Sevier County for the first time, bringing groceries directly to families as tens of thousands of Tennesseans lose access to food assistance.
Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee launched the new mobile pantry stop, completing its coverage of all 18 counties in its service area. The expansion comes as new data shows Tennessee has cut roughly 97,000 people from SNAP benefits since last year.
