MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — With the Carolina Country Music Fest just days away, the Myrtle Beach Police Department has announced road closures set for the festivities ahead.
Downtown businesses express mixed feelings about upcoming Carolina Country Music Fest
While some roads were already closed as of Sunday for festival set-up, others will not close until the event officially begins on Thursday.
Listed below are the times, dates, and locations of CCMF road closures:
- Ocean Blvd. between 8th and 9th Ave. N and north/south sidewalks – closed from 8 a.m. May 28 through 5 p.m. June 11
- Ocean Blvd. between 7th and 7th Ave. N – closed from 8 a.m. May 31 through 5 p.m. June 11
- 8th Ave. N between Kings Hwy. and Ocean Blvd. and all parking spaces – 8 a.m. May 31 through 5 p.m. June 11
- Chester St. between 7th and 8th Ave. N and all parking spaces – closed from 8 a.m. May 31 through 5 p.m. June 11
- 9th Ave. N between Kings Hwy. and Ocean Blvd. and all parking spaces – closed from 8 a.m. May 31 through 5 p.m. June 11
- 8th Ave. N beach access and gravel lot – closed from 8 a.m. May 31 through 5 p.m. June 11
- York Street between 7th and 8th Ave. N – closed from 8 a.m. May 31 through 5 p.m. June 11, with access for local businesses only
- Ocean Blvd. from Mr. Joe White Ave. to 7th Ave. N – closed from 8 a.m. June 2 through 5 p.m. June 9
- 9th Ave. N between Broadway St. and Kings Hwy., eastbound lane only for rideshare access
- Closed from 3 p.m. June 4 through 1:30 a.m. June 5
- Closed from 1 p.m. June 5 through 1:30 a.m. June 6
- Closed from 1 p.m. June 6 through 1:30 a.m. June 7
- Closed from 1 p.m. June 7 through 1:30 a.m. June 8
- Chester St. between 9th Ave. N and Mr. Joe White Ave. – closed from 11:59 p.m. June 3 through 12 a.m. June 8, with access for busses and local businesses only during event
- Alleys on either side of Ground Zero – closed from 8 a.m. June 3 through 8 a.m. June 8
