MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures are a few degrees lower than where we started yesterday, so it doesn’t feel too bad this morning. We’re starting in the low-to-mid 70s. Unfortunately, we’ll see a quicker warm-up today, and afternoon temperatures will be even hotter than yesterday.
A Heat Advisory is in effect for Horry County, where heat index values are expected to surpass 105°. Much of the Pee Dee will be right on the edge of advisory-level conditions as well. Actual temperatures will reach the mid-90s along the coast and the upper 90s inland.
