New major grocery store planned for downtown Myrtle Beach. Here’s where it’ll be

A prominent grocery store chain is set to open a new location in Myrtle Beach.

Food Lion plans to bring a new store to downtown Myrtle Beach in late 2027 or early 2028. A representative for Little Diversified Architectural Consulting recently presented plans at a Community Appearance Board meeting for the new shop at the 1400 block of North Kings Highway in the Kings Festival Plaza shopping center.

“We are excited to confirm plans for a new Food Lion store in the heart of Myrtle Beach and look forward to serving our neighbors in this vibrant community,” a Food Lion spokesperson said. “This new store reflects Food Lion‘s continued investment in the Myrtle Beach DMA and our commitment to future growth across the towns and cities we serve.”…
