The Joliet City Council voted to approve a six-year, $2.5 million intergovernmental loan agreement with the Will County Metropolitan Exposition and Auditorium Authority to fund ongoing renovations at the historic Rialto Square Theatre.
The downtown landmark has been closed since June 1 to undergo a $9 million HVAC modernization project.
