Cook County man had loaded gun, mushrooms, pot cigar and $10,000 in car, sheriff says

An Oak Lawn man was discovered with a loaded gun, thousands of dollars in cash and drugs inside his car during a traffic stop earlier this month on Chicago’s Far South Side.

According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Abdelrahman Yasean, 21, is charged with armed violence and other narcotics counts as a result of the traffic stop.

Around 3:30 p.m. on June 18, investigators from the Sheriff’s Police Organized Crime Division stopped a Honda Accord in the 8700 block of S. Parnell Avenue in Auburn Gresham because the driver and two passengers were reportedly not wearing seat belts…
