As cleanup continues across Kane County following multiple rounds of severe storms over the Independence Day weekend, the Kane County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is asking residents whose homes or property sustained damage to complete a storm damage self-assessment survey.
The information will help emergency management officials determine the overall impact of the July 3-4 storms and whether the region may qualify for state or federal disaster assistance. Completing the survey does not guarantee financial assistance, but every report is critical in documenting the extent of the damage.
