The Chicago area is set to see another surge of hot temperatures this week, and the sizzling conditions are expected to stick around for several days.
Temperatures could rise into the upper-90s by Tuesday, and though the humidity won’t be as oppressive as it was the last time the Chicago area saw a heat wave unfold, it will still feel like temperatures are in the triple digits with the heat index through the middle of the week, according to the NBC 5 Storm Team.
Before those scorching conditions arrive, the Chicago area can expect to see plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures on Sunday, with readings rising into the mid-to-upper 80s according to forecast models. A lake breeze will help keep things a bit cooler along the shores of Lake Michigan, and water temperatures in the low-70s should make for pleasant conditions on the water…
