A larger-than-planned HomeGoods store is moving forward in Oswego after the Village Board approved a major amendment Tuesday allowing a significant increase in the building’s size within the Prairie Market East development.
The amendment permits construction of a 25,000-square-foot retail building at 410 Fifth St., expanding the originally approved size of about 17,000 square feet by roughly 8,000 square feet. Village officials said the increase triggered a required amendment to the planned unit development (PUD), which needed both Planning and Zoning Commission review and final Village Board approval.
