The Aurora Police Department says its officers arrested a 16-year-old boy with a handgun after a chase that started on an electric scooter and ended on foot Sunday.
Police said they saw the teen illegally riding an electric scooter in the road near Front and Jefferson streets. Officers tried to speak with him, but he fled on the scooter before abandoning it and running. Police pursued the teen through parking and residential lots before arresting him without further incident.
