The Banyan Boulevard roundabout construction project was finished Friday, June 12, lifting road closures associated with the project, which was started “to enhance traffic flow and improve the corridor’s appearance,” according to a City of Naples Instagram post announcing the start of the project.
City spokesperson Monique Barnhart-Tiberio, in a text message to Naples Daily News, said damage to the roundabout prompted the project, which aimed to create a larger turning radius.
Parts of Banyan Boulevard, including the roundabout, were blocked off, and drivers were directed to detours on Murex Drive, Gulf Shore Boulevard and Yucca Road for the duration of the five-day project, which started Monday, June 8…
