Woman’s Club Receives $1 Million From State

The Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club has been awarded $1 Million in the State of Florida’s Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget to support the construction of its new clubhouse and community center on Sterling Avenue.

The Governor’s line-item veto list was released today and the $1 Million appropriation was not on the list meaning it will be included in the state budget that begins October 1st.

The funding represents a major milestone in the Club’s ongoing effort to rebuild after Hurricane Ian destroyed its historic clubhouse in September 2022.
