NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A group of Nashville songwriters is trading hit-making for healing this week, volunteering their time to help veterans process trauma by turning their experiences into music.
The workshop is being held at Amy Grant’s farm in Franklin, where veterans are working side by side with songwriters to write original songs about what they’ve been through. The retreat wraps up Wednesday with a concert featuring the songs created during the workshop with Grant in attendance.
While Grant is not directly involved in the sessions, she supports the mission by donating her farm for the retreat….
