MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — A convicted sex offender wanted for multiple violent felonies in Rutherford County was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon in Wilson County.
According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, an alert from the Guardian Shield license plate recognition system led to the arrest on Wednesday, June 3.
Authorities said they were notified when the 38-year-old Nashville man entered the city via Lebanon Road in a Ford Fusion. Officers teamed up to search for the motorist, eventually stopping him and taking him into custody without incident near Lebanon Road and South Greenhill Road.
