Police: Man set Nashville home on fire to ‘smoke the bugs out’

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — An 18-year-old is facing felony charges after police say he broke into a Nashville home, started a fire and later told officers he was trying to “smoke the bugs out” of the residence.

Ehran Shaw was arrested Thursday and charged with arson, aggravated burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of a nicotine vape, according to Davidson County jail records. His total bond was set at $62,000.
