Chilly blast will bring record-setting cold to Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The cold weather will peak Monday morning.

After another week with high temperatures in the 80s, for the first time in a while, a chilly change is headed to Middle Tennessee. Monday morning will start with record cold across the Midstate.

In advance of that major weather shift, Saturday will see a sharp cold front approach and move through. The front will trigger a batch of showers and thunderstorms. If you have outdoor plans Saturday, be sure to keep an eye on the weather during the afternoon and evening. Severe weather doesn’t appear likely, but that could change as April is still peak severe weather season…
