Sycamore High School cleared after investigation into suspicious package

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Sycamore High School has received the all-clear from law enforcement after an investigation into a suspicious package found Wednesday morning.

The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation was launched after an Amazon bag with beeping sounds coming from inside was found by a teacher Wednesday and “could not be immediately identified.”

A K9 bomb-sniffing dog reportedly inspected the package and did not detect explosive materials. However, officials said a Tennessee Highway Patrol Bomb Squad was also called. Investigators reportedly reviewed security camera footage to determine where the package came from.

Sycamore High students were taken to Sycamore Middle School during the investigation, and student drivers were sent back home…
