NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A First Alert Day is being highlighted for today as a line of strong storms is expected to cross the area by later this afternoon.
⛈️ STORMS APPROACH – This line is currently moving over the western half of Louisiana and extends down over the Gulf. There should be a weakening trend and a slowing of the line as it gets closer to us. At the same time daytime heating will be building locally so I do expect there should be a more widespread storm coverage developing through the day.
The same storm impacts are being highlighted for your Wednesday. Heavy rains remain our greatest risk with lightning and gusty winds being secondary threats. The overall severe weather risk remains low…
