NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A First Alert Day has been declared for Tuesday as a round of strong to possibly severe storms are possible late this afternoon into this evening.
⚠️🌩️ STRONG STORMS – The increased storm risk today is a result of a frontal boundary dropping down to the Gulf Coast. When storms form along fronts in summer, usually they can be strong in nature. This is why our storm threats are increased today with an elevated risk for strong winds, heavy rains and intense lightning.
