WWL-TV Anchor Charisse Gibson to depart for career opportunity in Los Angeles

NEW ORLEANS — Anchor-reporter Charisse Gibson is departing WWL-TV in New Orleans. Her last day at WWL-TV will be July 31.

Gibson was born and raised in New Orleans and is a graduate of Warren Easton High and Southern University in Baton Rouge. Her career in journalism started in New Orleans, veered to Biloxi, Shreveport, Cincinnati and back to New Orleans. She has anchored WWL-TV’s nighttime broadcasts for seven years. Her next move will take her to Los Angeles to report for KNBC…
