NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A weak low-pressure system in the Gulf, dubbed Invest 97L, will bring higher rain chances through early in the week. An active weather pattern continues in its wake.
Invest 97L has been given only a 10% chance of developing in the next 48 hours and a 20% chance within the next seven days.
It’s called an “invest” because it’s now being run through tropical models, which gives a better idea of the track it could take. That track looks to stay offshore, bringing rainbands to much of southern Louisiana through parts of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday…
