Man wounded in Mardi Gras shootout on Broad Street, NOPD says

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – One man was hospitalized and another fled after they engaged in a shootout Tuesday evening (Feb. 13) in Treme, New Orleans police said. The NOPD did not detail the injuries or condition of the wounded man, but said he was brought for hospital treatment in a private vehicle before officers arrived at the scene of the shooting. Police said the men were “having a dispute” before they exchanged gunfire around 6:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Broad Street.
