The first case of measles in Louisiana this year has been confirmed, according to the Louisiana Department of Health. Officials are warning people who visited two superstores in Kenner that they may have been exposed to the virus.

According to the LDH, the child who tested positive for measles was exposed after traveling internationally and is now receiving treatment at an area hospital. Officials added that the child was partially vaccinated.
