NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A New Orleans man pled guilty Tuesday, April 21 to various drug charges.
According to the Eastern District of Louisiana, 44-year-old Deshawn Jones was convicted of conspiracy to distribute, and possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances, along with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Officials said Jones conspired with others to distribute fentanyl, crack and cocaine in the Eastern District of Louisiana. On Nov. 25, 2024, Jones possessed with the intent to distribute around 40 grams of a mixture containing fentanyl, around 28 grams of a mixture containing crack and cocaine. He also had a firearm in his possession.
For the drug trafficking charges, Jones faces a minimum sentence of five years and up to 40 years in prison. For the firearm charge, Jones faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison…
