NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – We’ve seen quite a bit of rain across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi with more on the way over the next 24-hours.
The FLOOD WATCH continues through Monday evening as the National Weather Services says, “Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.”
There’s also a FLOOD WARNING in effect for East Hobolochitto Creek Near Caesar affecting Pearl River County so please be sure to drive with extra caution in these areas and remember “Turnaround — don’t drown.”
Some showers and storms will linger throughout the area over the next few hours, but know that they do not bring any severe potential just possible thunderstorms…
