Man arrested for shooting 14-year-old boy in Allerton

A Bronx man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a 14‑year‑old boy in Allerton late last month, according to police.

Roderick Allen, 55, is charged with attempted murder, assault and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was taken into custody on June 6.

The shooting happened on May 29, around 3:50 p.m. near Cruger and Burke avenues. Police say Allen approached the teen and got into a verbal dispute with him before pulling out a firearm and opening fire…
