The African American Day Parade returns for its 57th anniversary, bringing together residents, community organizations, businesses, cultural groups and performers for one of the city’s longstanding celebrations of Black heritage and achievement.
The parade is scheduled for Sept. 20, beginning at 12:30 p.m. The procession will travel along Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard between 111th and 137th streets.
This year’s theme, “Good Businesses Sustain Our Future,” puts a spotlight on the importance of Black businesses, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment in building stronger communities, ABC7 reported…
