JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Jersey City police arrested three men tied to separate shooting and homicide investigations this week, including a New York homicide suspect and two men accused in violent gun cases connected to Jersey City streets, officials announced Friday.
Two of the arrests happened during a single shift by Jersey City police officers Bryan Jeffries and Rohan Passram, who tracked down suspects wanted in cases ranging from attempted murder to a homicide investigation involving a wounded 10-year-old boy.
City officials said the arrests reflect an aggressive push by the Jersey City Police Department’s Cease Fire Unit to target violent offenders before more bloodshed happens.
