NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — The man arrested in connection with a double shooting in Newport faced a judge Friday.
Tyquan Johnson, 19, was taken into custody late last month in Newport News, Virginia. He has been charged with felony assault with a firearm and firing in a compact area.

Johnson was wanted in connection with a shooting that wounded two men, ages 22 and 25, at the Park Holm housing complex.
He was ordered held without bail pending his next court date, which is slated for Aug. 25…
