NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police responded after an explosive device was found near East Ocean View Avenue and Inlet Road Sunday morning, according to the Norfolk Police Department.
At around 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, the department responded to a call about a suspicious device appearing to be a hand grenade that was seen in the roadway near East Ocean View Avenue and Inlet Road. When officers arrived to the scene, they confirmed that the item was a discarded explosive device that already had been diffused before they arrived.
