HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A swimming advisory was issued Wednesday afternoon for Buckroe Beach South due to elevated bacteria levels.
According to the Hampton Health District, samples collected on May 19 from the beach exceeded the state’s water quality standard.
Warning signs have been posted at the site advising beachgoers: “Warning swimmers – bacteria levels do not meet state water quality standards, swimming not advised until further notice.”…
