PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Starting on May 21, the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) crews are scheduled to reopen the on-ramp from Towne Point Road to Route 164 west in Portsmouth, according to VDOT.
Multi-week closure planned for Towne Point Road on-ramp in Portsmouth
This reopening comes after the on-ramp was closed for weeks in April due to sound wall-related construction. The closure was the first of two multiweek on-ramp closures that are required to complete construction at the location.
As the second closure is scheduled for a later time, VDOT will notify the public about more ramp closures.
