East Bay school leader reportedly under investigation for conduct with female colleague

The San Leandro Unified School District placed its superintendent on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into inappropriate conduct, a district spokesperson confirmed Wednesday.

According to a statement sent to the Chronicle, the school board received reports from district employees of “inappropriate conduct in violation of board policies and the district’s rules of conduct” involving Michael McLaughlin, who has served as superintendent since 2013.
