(KRON)– Seven people were injured after a car plowed through a crowd in Oakland’s uptown district, near Oakland’s First Friday event.
Around 2 a.m., a car drove onto the sidewalk in the 500 block of 18th Street, striking several people in the crowd. The driver left the scene on foot.

After multiple 911 reports of fighting in the area, Oakland Police and various medical crews responded to the scene. Two people were in critical condition, three people had minor injuries, and two people refused care. All victims are stable at this time.
